“When I was little, I made up a song to help my sister find what she’d lost.”

We sang it together over missing toys, socks, anything really.

Little Echo is based on that song.

But it’s still missing something.

Little Echo is a story about finding your way back

A sudden storm. A mother who forgets the way home.
An inquisitive baby elephant who remembers the song his mum once taught him.

Little Echo is a story about memory, melody, and the courage to look, even when you're unsure what you’ll find…

And now it needs your child’s imagination to perfect it.

Draw from memory. Grow your imagination.

This isn’t a competition. It’s a call to imagine.

When children draw from a story they’ve heard — not seen — something remarkable happens:
They practise memory, stretch their focus, and grow their creative confidence.
Their drawings don’t just decorate,
They become part of our world.

Before the final illustrations of the book are revealed, we’re inviting children to help bring Little Echo to life, using only memory and imagination.

Here’s how:

🎧 Step 1: Listen to the short story excerpt
👀 Step 2: Picture what you saw in your mind
🖍 Step 3: Draw any scene, any moment, any feeling
📤 Step 4: Email your artwork to join the Echo Community.

There’s no right or wrong. No “perfect” drawing.
This isn’t a contest. It’s a creative memory exercise.

Echoes through their eyes…

Community Invite:
Selected drawings might appear in live readings or our digital gallery. Every child who takes part is invited into the Echo Chorus — a gentle space where we share drawings, ideas, and stories behind the scenes.

The children are still drawing.
This gallery will grow as their illustrations arrive.
Each image brings the story closer to home.

About the author

When I lost my memory in 2020, I thought I’d lost everything.
But songs of Truth helped me remember who I was.

Now I help children (and their parents) navigate the anxiety and emotional challenge of loss through storytelling and the power of song.

I believe memory can be playful.
That storytelling can be our path to recovery;
and that children are more than readers.
They’re the ones who still know how to find the way home.

Coming soon — Sparkle

A book about a young dreamy girl.
She wants to dance.
But everyone else has other ideas.

A story about rhythm, fear, and stepping into the light.
